By means of the H & G multicylinder series with a position transmitter, it is now possible to measure the position of the piston of the basic cell directly and contactless electronically with stroke lengths of up to 50 mm.

The SMAT-8E is a robust magnetic measuring system which provides a standardized analog current and voltage signal via a M8x1 connector connection, irrespective of the drive used in the detection range of 50 mm.
The connection of the transmitter can thus be carried out directly at the analog input of a programmable controller.
The piston position of the pneumatic cylinder can now be detected without contact and the travel distance can be measured between arbitrarily set switching points.
